Greg Hinshaw focuses on the acquisition, development, and disposition of property and estate planning issues. Greg has more than 30 years experience in working with people and companies with their real estate and estate planning needs.
He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1972, and received his Juris Doctorate degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1975. He was admitted to practice law in North Carolina in 1975. Greg is a founding member of Burns, Day and Presnell, P.A.
Greg has represented clients in mixed use and planned unit developments, office and shopping center financing and residential closings. In the estate planning area of his practice he handles a variety of Wills, Trusts, Estates and Wealth Transfer issues.
Greg has served the legal community in many capacities. He served as President of the Wake County Real Property Lawyers Association in 1995, the Wake County Bar Association Board of Directors in 2001 and 2002, the Wake County Bar Association Grievance Committee from 1990 through 1993 and from 1995 to 1997 as Chair. . He is a member of the Wake County and North Carolina Bar Associations and the Real Property, Construction Law and Estate Planning sections. He is AV rated by Martindale.
